Undergraduate Research

In Balemba lab, we are committed to training undergraduate students in research, scholarship, and creative activity. Student work with faculty, graduate students, and pears to formulate testable ideas, design experiments, conduct experiments, analyze data, write and present findings at meetings and scientific meetings/conferences. Also, students have opportunities to write their own grant proposal. Students are trained to critically evaluate literature and summarize scientific papers in the form of presentations at lab meetings. Most of our alumni pursue medical profession, graduate programs, or biomedical research careers.
